Research in parenteral manufacture is growing, as parenterals find more and more application in medicine, due to various advantages offered by this method of medication, like faster action, ease of administration, direct onsite application , etc. Another factor boosting this industry is the onset and increase of lifestyle diseases, which are mainly treated using parenterals. Take for example, diabetes, a disease curbed, not cured, by insulin. Now insulin can only be taken subcutaneously, as it is not absorbed by the body's digestive tract. With the rise and spread of diseases like diabetes, an increase in manufacture of parenterals is only obvious.

As in the production of every other pharmaceutical preparation, the production of parenterals too is a matter requiring a particular degree of care and attention. The materials and processing have to meet the most stringent quality requirements, as well as various national and international standards and statutory provisions. Absolute sterility is only one of the key factors in the manufacturing process.

The manufacture of parenterals follows these stages. Process media shall be prepared in media preparation vessel, which gets transferred to manufacturing vessels after filtration process. Finally it is led to storage areas/vessels and then to the filling machine.

Safety Devices
Appropriate design of the vessel heat transfer jacket to ensure operator safety apart from a well designed Safety equipment like safety valves/ rupture discs/ vacuum breaker/ etc. makes it safe for the users while maintaining the clean-ability/ sterility.

Automation
Depending on the scope and requirement of the users, these equipments can be unit controlled or loop controlled with a multiple of equipments together. From a simple electrical Relay based control to complex DCS control, the equipments can be designed to meet any Automation needs of the user.
