Syrups are viscous, generally residual, liquids, containing substances other than sugars in solution. The syrup employed as a base for medicinal purposes consists of a concentrated or saturated solution of refined sugar in distilled water.
Syrups are largely used in the pharmaceutical industry for oral medication. In the food and beverage industry too, syrups bases are used in a wide variety of applications, from confectionary to bottled beverages.
A typical syrup manufacturing system consists of a closed circuit facility, feeding sugar/water phase to a volumetric liquid filling machine. The process is simple, with sugar and water being mixed together, heated and stirred to make the syrup. The product during emulsion formation is recirculated, and led to storage tanks, and finally to filling machines.

Appropriate design of the vessel heat transfer jacket to ensure operator safety apart from a well designed Safety equipment like safety valves/ rupture discs/ vacuum breaker/ etc. makes it safe for the users while maintaining the clean-ability/ sterility.
Automation
Depending on the scope and requirement of the users, these equipments can be unit controlled or loop controlled with a multiple of equipments together. From a simple electrical Relay based control to complex DCS control, the equipments can be designed to meet any Automation needs of the user. Adequate hot swappable redundancy can be defined from the Network alone to Central Processor. |
